enable_skeleton_draw Command Counter-Strike

In both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, any player can toggle the in-game developer console and make use of commands to customize their gameplay for a variety of reasons. Say you want to practice smoke lineups and easily clip through walls to the location your utility should hit? There’s a command for that. Want the round to never end even after multiple hours? It’s definitely possible!

But what if you want to essentially have a perfect vision of every entity possible in the game, including players and weapons, by seeing their entire outline perfectly? That’s what the CSGO Wireframe Command is for.

How Do You Use The Command?

To use any command in the game, you must first access the in-game developer console which is usually bound to the ~ key on your keyboard. In the event your keyboard doesn’t have this key, you can bind the console to open upon pressing any available button you have. Then, input the command “sv_cheats 1” to toggle cheat commands on the server. Some commands don’t necessarily require sv_cheats to be turned on, however the Wireframe Command does.

After this, simply type or copy and paste the command “enable_skeleton_draw <0 / 1>” to the console. Before hitting the enter key, however, you must input either 0 or 1 after the command itself to toggle whether or not only the “skeleton” outline of certain things will be drawn/activated. A value of 1 will put the command into place and make the “wireframe” of player models and weapons visible to you. By typing a value of 0 after the command, the command will be disabled and the usual Counter-Strike experience with no outlines or any type of highlighting will be present. The Wireframe Command is disabled by default.

When Can You Use The Command?

The command “enable_skeleton_draw <0 / 1>” can only be used in private servers, not in official matchmaking or competitive play. This is due to the fact that having the Wireframe Command enabled is literally playing with wall hacks which are not only bannable but morally wrong and will ruin the integrity of the match. The Wireframe Command, however, is currently a CS:GO exclusive command since it is not yet available for use in CS2. This means that as of April 2024, the Wireframe Command is not usable by anyone.

How Is The Command Used?

The command is used by players in their own personal matches with bots or friends to gain a somewhat wallhack-type vibe and advantage. This can be likened to blatant cheating though, so usage of this even with one’s peers needs to be done with the right crowd to not cause any personal discourse.
