The Best CS:GO Stickers to Buy

The only filter that matters: can you sell it again?

The failure mode when buying old stickers is not overpaying. It is buying something with no market behind it. A price on a screen with a single seller behind it is one person's hope, and on rare stickers that number can sit unchallenged for years.

So before anything gets printed on this page it passes the filter we apply site-wide: at least two live listings, below CSFloat's $99,999 cap, and not quoting a value shared by three or more different stickers — that last rule catches Buff163's fixed dollar rungs, which is why nine unrelated stickers can all read the same five-figure number. That removes 518 priced stickers before we start. Each table below then adds its own listing-depth and weekly-volume floor on top.

The sweet spot: mid-2010s Major Papers

This is the recommendation the rest of the page exists to support. Capsules from Cologne, Cluj-Napoca, Columbus, Krakow and Atlanta were retired years ago, so their supply is fixed — but they were sold to a much larger audience than the 2014 sets, which means they still have sellers. You get the discontinued-supply property and an exit.

Every sticker below comes from a retired capsule, has a credible market price, at least 50 live listings, and at least 10 trades in the past week:

Two things to notice. They are almost all Paper, because Paper is the finish that was opened in volume and therefore the one with a functioning market a decade later. And they are cheap in absolute terms — you can own a sticker from a Major that has not been sold since 2015 for less than a case key.

If you want a shiny finish instead

Holos and Foils from later CS:GO-era Majors are the compromise: not old enough to be scarce, but visually the reason most people want stickers in the first place, and liquid enough that you are buying at a real price. Ranked by seven-day trade volume, with 200+ listings each:

Volume is the column to read. A sticker trading dozens of times a week has a price you can trust and, more importantly, one you can act on in both directions.

What not to buy (even though it is famous)

The stickers that dominate every "best CS:GO stickers" list elsewhere are largely unbuyable. 20CS:GO-era stickers in our data are quoted at $1,000 or more but fail the credible-market test — a single listing, a Buff163 rung, or CSFloat's cap.

The clearest case is Katowice 2014. Its Foil tier produces no usable price at all: every team Foil is one listing parked on one of two identical rung values, and the iBUYPOWER Holo sits on the $99,999 platform maximum. None of that means those stickers are worthless — they are the most valuable items in the game. It means the published numbers are not prices, and if you are buying with the idea of selling later, you are entering a market with a handful of participants.

Match the sticker to the reason you are buying

• To own a piece of the era. The table above. Retired capsule, real market, small money.
• To hold. Discontinued supply plus demonstrated volume. If a sticker has no weekly trades, you are not investing, you are collecting — which is fine, but price it that way. Our skins investing guide is the honest version.
• To make an inventory look good. Choose on colour and finish, not tournament. Start with the best blue stickers and the other colour breakdowns.

Practical rules before you spend

1. Check the listing count, not just the price. Every sticker page on the sticker database shows live listings and recent volume next to the number.
2. Understand what the finish means. Paper, Holo, Glitter, Foil, Gold and Lenticular are different grades with very different supply — see CS2 sticker grades.
