CS2 & CS:GO Case Opening Sites
Third-party case sites build their own cases with their own contents and their own odds. That makes them a different product from opening a Valve case in CS2, and the difference is not in your favour by default — it is simply less regulated and more variable.
Disclosure: outbound links here are affiliate links and CSDB earns a commission if you sign up through one, at no extra cost to you. The order of the table is commercial, not a ranking. Nothing here is a recommendation that any particular site is safe or licensed for you.

How case opening works
You pay a fixed price for a case, a wheel spins through the possible contents, and you receive one item. Most sites let you withdraw the item to Steam, sell it back for site balance, or roll it into an upgrader.
Where the house edge is
The price of the case is set above the average value of its contents, and the gap is the operator's margin. Unlike a Valve case, the contents and their probabilities are chosen entirely by the site, so the margin can be whatever they decide. Some publish per-item drop rates; many publish only a rarity tier.
What “provably fair” covers here
Provably fair proves which slot the wheel landed on. It does not prove the case contained what was advertised, that the drop rates shown match the real ones, or that the item values used were market prices. For case opening specifically, that is a much narrower guarantee than it sounds.
Try it without paying for it
We already run a free CS2 case simulator built on the real published Valve drop rates. It is the honest way to see what a run of openings looks like, and a few hundred simulated opens is usually more persuasive than anything written here — the highlight clips are the 0.26%, not the other 99.74%.
Before you deposit
- Set a deposit limit first. Most sites have them in account settings. Setting one while you are calm is the single most effective thing on this list.
- The house edge is always there. It is charged on every round you play, win or lose — see above for exactly where it sits in case opening.
- Check your own jurisdiction. Skin gambling is restricted or unlawful in several countries, and an operator accepting your sign-up is not proof it is legal for you.
- If it stops being fun, stop. BeGambleAware, GamCare and Gambling Therapy are free, confidential and independent of any operator.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are third-party cases better odds than in-game CS2 cases?
- Not inherently, and they are far more variable. A Valve case has fixed, well-documented odds that are the same for everyone. A third-party case has whatever contents and probabilities the operator chose, which may be better or considerably worse, and are often only partially disclosed.
- Can I try case opening without spending money?
- Yes — our case simulator uses the real published CS2 drop rates and costs nothing. It is the honest way to see what a run of openings actually looks like, and the results are usually more sobering than the highlight clips suggest.

Before you deposit anywhere
Losing to the house edge is the expected outcome and is not a scam. What does take money: “free” wins that need a deposit before withdrawal, phishing clones of real sites, anyone asking for your Steam API key, unsolicited “support” DMs, and terms rewritten after a large win. Valve does not recognise third-party gambling and will not reverse a trade or recover items.

How we put this page together
- Unverified means blank, not guessed. A dash is a gap we have not confirmed, never a number we assumed. Last checked .
- We are paid by the operators, and the order is commercial. Outbound links are affiliate links and position is arranged with operators — it is not a quality ranking and we do not present it as one.
- We publish the negatives, including for partners. Our full methodology covers sourcing, codes and what we refuse to publish.
