How do I improve a low Trust Factor?
Time and clean behaviour — there is no reset, and Steam Support will not adjust it. Add Prime and a phone number if you lack them, keep chat civil enough that you stop drawing reports, and play regularly. Players who do this consistently report queues improving over a period of weeks.
Does partying with a low Trust Factor friend hurt my games?
For that session, yes — matchmaking uses the lowest Trust Factor in the lobby, which is why the game warns you when a party member is significantly below you. It does not permanently drag your own value down.
