Case Hardened Pattern Analysis
Case Hardened is pattern-dependent: the paint seed (0–999) changes how much of the play side renders blue rather than gold or purple, and where that blue sits. Seeds with near-total blue coverage are the "blue gems".

The knife is typically used with a reverse grip, with the finger ring on the index finger. It has been color case-hardened through the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures.
