Most-Used Pro Crosshair Codes, Colours and Settings

Which exact crosshair share codes multiple professionals use, and the colour, size, gap, thickness, dot and outline choices across the active pro field — computed from publicly published player configs. Browse every code in the crosshair code library or build your own in the crosshair generator.

Data as of: Published: 2026-09-11

n = 813 active pros with a valid crosshair share code (of 1,011 tracked). 137 retired or inactive players and 53 coaches excluded; 8 active players without a valid share code.

Key findings

  1. 737 distinct share codes across 813 active pros: 14% (116 players) use a code that at least one other pro also uses; the most-shared code is on 7 players.
  2. Colour is a three-way split: Custom 37%, Green 30%, Cyan 25%. Everything else is 7%.
  3. The modal crosshair is size 1, gap -4, thickness 1 (54%, 43% and 54% of players respectively). 98% run a negative gap.
  4. Centre dots and outlines are minority choices: 9% use a dot and 12% an outline.
  5. Style is near-uniform in the source (Static Cross: 53%), so “which style do pros use” is not a question this dataset can separate — see limitations.

Methodology

  1. Cohort: players whose source status is not Retired or Inactive, excluding coaches — 821 of 1,011 tracked.
  2. Only players with a valid-format share code (CSGO- plus five groups of five characters) are counted: n = 813. A player listed twice under one code is counted once.
  3. “Shared” means the identical code string on two or more players. Visually identical crosshairs with different codes are not merged.
  4. Colour, size, gap and thickness are the source’s parsed values, not decoded from the share code. Numeric colour ids and “Unknown” are excluded from colour shares.
  5. Shares are of n (or of the colour sub-sample where stated), rounded to whole percent.

Limitations

  • The style field is near-uniform in the source and cannot distinguish static from dynamic behaviour reliably; this study reports it but draws no conclusion from it.
  • A shared code often reflects teammates or a coach’s recommendation, not independent choice — it is evidence of popularity, not of superiority.
  • Published configs lag changes made at events; per-player pages carry the date the source last revised each profile.
  • “Active” means listed on a live roster; there is no tier field, so no by-tier breakdown.
