Why publish how much you have not checked?
Because the alternative is implying we have checked everything. Every operator page already says which facts are unverified; this page adds them up so the scale is visible in one place. A database that reports its own gaps can be trusted about the things it does claim.
Why are so many records thin?
Most of these operators sit behind bot protection that blocks automated reading, and we do not bypass it. Those records are filled by a person opening the pages, which is slow. The re-verification queue orders that work by how many people are actually reading each page, so the thinnest high-traffic records get filled first.
Does a low transparency score mean an operator is bad?
No. It means little about that operator can be established from what it publishes and what we have checked. An operator can be entirely open about terms that are bad for you, and a site with a thin record may simply be one nobody has researched yet — which is why the score is withheld entirely below five assessed dimensions.
