The Most Expensive AWP Skins In CS2

The “Big Green”, also known as the AWP, is one of the most well-known weapons in all of Counter-Strike. Players who look to invest in a Counter-Strike inventory cannot leave the AWP skin unaccounted for, as it is one of the three main rifles in the game. With the AWP being such an important part of what Counter-Strike is, it’s evident that Valve would produce amazing-looking skins for the sniper rifle. It has been over a decade since AWP skins were being released, and it’s time to go over the fifteen most expensive AWP skins in the game.

AWP | Dragon Lore (Up to $486,000)

Released a decade ago, the AWP | Dragon Lore notoriously remains as the most expensive AWP skin in Counter-Strike history. Though the Dragon Lore has been overtaken by the AWP | Gungnir in price for its regular, the prices for the Souvenir versions remain unmatched. A Souvenir Factory New copy has the most recent offer for $486,000 – absolutely mind-blowing.

  • Price Range: $3,750 – $486,000
  • Collection: The Cobblestone Collection

AWP | Gungnir (Up to $11,200)

The Norse Collection is one of the most expensive collections in the entire game, so it’s not too surprising that the highest-tier skin in the collection, the AWP | Gungnir, is worth thousands. However, the Gungnir has exceeded the “thousands” mark and reached the five-digit mark without a Souvenir version.

  • Price Range: $5,700 – $11,200
  • Collection: The Norse Collection

AWP | Medusa (Up to $4,900)

Before the introduction of The Prince and the Gungnir, the AWP | Medusa skin was sitting right behind the Dragon Lore in price rankings. Released in 2015 as a part of the Gods and Monsters Collection, the Medusa was one of the coolest-looking AWP skins at the time, and was easily the second choice for wealthy players who wouldn’t spend more to buy a Dragon Lore.

  • Price Range: $1,600 – $4,900
  • Collection: The Gods and Monsters Collection

AWP | The Prince (Up to $3,600)

The Prince was released at the same time as the Gungnir in 2019, and has already overtaken most of its peers in price tags. As a part of the Canals Collection, The Prince is one of the most luxurious-looking AWP skins in the game, and its cheapest copy is just shy of $2,000. It is one of the main skin preferences of legendary AWPer Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz.

  • Price Range: $1,900 – $3,600
  • Collection: The Canals Collection

AWP | Desert Hydra

The Desert Hydra is the latest release in the top five, being introduced in 2021 with the 2021 Mirage Collection. Like the Dragon Lore, the Desert Hydra has a Souvenir option available, though the price difference isn’t too far from the regular copy. The golden snakes extending to the gun barrel just gives such an expensive feel to the weapon.

  • Price Range: $1,200 – $3,100
  • Collection: The 2021 Mirage Collection

AWP | Fade

As a part of the famous Fade family, it’s only natural that the AWP | Fade would be considered one of the most expensive AWP skins in the game. It was released in late 2020 and has already become renowned as a top choice for premium AWP skins to select from. Placing Holo stickers on the AWP | Fade is an excellent idea if you have a few extra bucks to spend on them.

  • Price Range: $1,000 – $1,100
  • Collection: The Control Collection

AWP | Lightning Strike

The Lightning Strike is one of the oldest AWP skins in the game, making it a classic. Though it has always been considered expensive, the price of the Lightning Strike spiked after Valve announced that the CS:GO Weapon Case would no longer drop, making the supply of the skin scarce. The Lightning Strike has a very simple design that is liked by many.

  • Price Range: $500 – $850
  • Collection: CS:GO Weapon Case

AWP | Oni Taiji

The Oni Taiji is a skin that is Japanese-inspired, with a hand-painted image of a samurai and Oni imagery, making it a top choice for fans who admire Japan and its culture. The skin features vibrant colors that will do the job of attracting attention in case you want to flex this skin to others.

  • Price Range: $160 – $780
  • Collection: Operation Hydra Case

AWP | Containment Breach

The Containment Breach is one of two Covert grade items in the Shattered Web Collection released in 2019. The design was custom painted to depict a group of mutated rats trying to escape a radioactive neon green forest. It follows a super interesting concept, and though light green isn’t the most premium-looking color, the Containment Breach makes it work.

  • Price Range: $40 – $690
  • Collection: Shattered Web Case

AWP | Chrome Cannon

The Chrome Cannon is the most recent addition to the most expensive list of AWP skins, only released in 2024 in the Kilowatt Collection, Counter-Strike: 2’s first new weapon case. Since the skin is relatively new, the market price has yet to settle, and we can expect the price to drop in the near future. As of now, there is limited stock for the skin, which is why it reaches the $600 mark.

  • Price Range: $80 – $620
  • Collection: The Kilowatt Collection

AWP | BOOM

The AWP | BOOM is another classic CS:GO skin, released over ten years ago in 2013. The BOOM skin has been painted with a hydrographic of comic book onomatopoeia on top of an orange-colored coat. The design isn’t as detailed as the other AWP skins on the list, but the AWP | BOOM gives off such a sleek vibe.

  • Price Range: $70 – $600
  • Collection: eSports 2013 Case

AWP | Graphite

The Graphite was released a few months after the AWP | BOOM, and is part of the Operation Bravo Case, one of the most expensive cases in the game at $42 each. The weapon features a memento from Agency which has been painted in a polygon pattern with metallic paints over a chrome base coat. Appropriate stickers work very well with this skin.

  • Price Range: $125 – $340
  • Collection: Operation Bravo Case

AWP | Asiimov

Gamers who have never played Counter-Strike will still know what the Asiimov is. This skin has been custom painted with a sci-fi design. The white and orange color combination works incredibly well to pull off a futuristic look, making the skin scream expensive. Unfortunately, the Asiimov only goes up to Field-Tested condition.

  • Price Range: $60 – $290
  • Collection: Operation Phoenix Weapon Case

AWP | Hyper Beast

At this point, the Hyper Beast has become one of the most iconic designs in CS:GO skin history. They’re even printing the Hyper Beast design on mousepads now. The AWP version is no stranger when it comes to popularity. Though you can get a Battle-Scarred version for $20, the StatTrak Factory New version almost touches the $300 mark.

  • Price Range: $20 – $275
  • Collection: The Falchion Collection
