List Of Counter-Strike Maps

The Counter-Strike franchise would be nothing without all the amazing maps featured in the game. Maps give the game diversity and allow players to dive into each of them to learn the best spots and lineups. In this article, we’ll go over all the CSGO maps that are available in the game at the moment.

All CSGO Maps

Each game mode in Counter-Strike features a different pool of maps. Let’s go over each of the game modes and list down all the available maps.

Premier Mode Maps

Premier Mode strictly only features maps in the Active Duty Map Pool, which is the list of maps featured in professional play as well. These seven maps are the ones you will see very often, so you should start practicing on them to become a better player.

  • Anubis
  • Ancient
  • Inferno
  • Vertigo
  • Dust II
  • Nuke
  • Mirage

Competitive Mode Maps

The Competitive Mode is no longer the primary ranked mode in Counter-Strike. Instead, players can queue for any map in the pool and have independent ranks on each map. You will see all Active Duty Maps in the Competitive Mode map pool, but you will see additional names as well.

  • Anubis
  • Ancient
  • Inferno
  • Vertigo
  • Dust II
  • Nuke
  • Mirage
  • Overpass
  • Thera
  • Mills
  • Office

Wingman Mode Maps

Wingman Mode is another ranked game mode in Counter-Strike, but there are only two players on a team instead of five. You will see Active Duty Maps such as Inferno, Vertigo, and Nuke, as well as three other maps. However, all of these maps were shrunk so players can only contest one bomb site.

  • Inferno
  • Vertigo
  • Nuke
  • Overpass
  • Assembly
  • Memento

Causal and Deathmatch Maps

The Casual and Deathmatch game modes feature the exact same maps, so we have decided to group them together for the reason mentioned. Overall, these two game modes are used to help players get used to the Active Duty Map Pools, so it’s not too surprising that most maps in the pool are featured in these game modes. However, these maps are divided into three groups.

Defusal Group Sigma

Three out of four maps in Defusal Group Sigma are featured in the Active Duty Map Pool, with the exception being Overpass. Overpass used to be in the group, but was cycled out a few years ago.

  • Mirage
  • Vertigo
  • Ancient
  • Overpass

Defusal Group Delta

Defusal Group Delta features three Active Duty Maps, being Inferno, Nuke, and Anubis. The other three maps were recently added to the game but are still new, meaning they aren’t ready for the competitive modes just yet.

  • Inferno
  • Nuke
  • Anubis
  • Thera
  • Mills

Dust II

Since it has a special place in our hearts, Dust II actually has its own category in the Deathmatch and Casual game modes. You can strictly queue for a Dust II match without having to worry about getting other maps.

Hostage Group

Finally, we have to give the Hostage Scenario game mode some love, which is why you can always play Office and Italy in Deathmatch or Casual.

  • Office
  • Italy

Arms Race Maps

Arms Race is one of the least popular game modes in Counter-Strike, as it doesn’t really provide any competitive aspect. However, it is the perfect game mode for new players looking to get some reps in with every gun in the game. There are only three maps in the Arms Race Pool, and none of them are maps in the Active Duty Map Pool.

  • Baggage
  • Shoots
  • Pool Day

What CSGO Maps Are Community Made?

For the most part, Valve employees were responsible for making the majority of Counter-Strike maps we know today. However, there are two community-made maps that made it to the Active Duty Pool at one point.

  • Cache: Though the map has not been featured in CS2 at all, Cache was made by FMPONE. This map was seen a lot in Global Offensive, and a lot of iconic professional moments were recorded on this map. Cache was the first community-made map that entered the Active Duty Map Pool, and we are expecting it to be released into CS2 soon after a rework is conducted.
  • Anubis: Anubis is the most recent addition to the Active Duty Map pool, meaning it is featured in Premier Mode and professional play. This map was community-made, and it was designed by Roald, jakuza, and jd40. The map was featured in CSGO, and made its entrance to the Active Duty Map Pool in November 2022.
