sv_grenade_trajectory
One of the most useful practice commands in all of Counter-Strike is the grenade trajectory command, mainly used when practicing grenade lineups in a private server. In this article, we’ll explore all types of grenade trajectory commands, how to use them, as well as some examples to make it clear.
What Is The Grenade Trajectory CSGO Command?
This trajectory is incredibly helpful for players looking to study and practice new grenade lineups, as it will give them a good idea of how to adjust their next throw of the grenade.
There is a second part to the grenade trajectory command, which is the grenade trajectory time command, which determines how long the trail will be displayed on your screen for.
How To Use The Grenade Trajectory Command
Now that we’ve understood what the grenade trajectory commands are, let’s learn how to implement it.
Before getting into the two commands, you must first have your developer console enabled. Once your console is enabled, hit the “~” button to open it.
There are two grenade trajectory commands in CS2:
sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview 1
This command will enable the grenade trajectory, so you can see the trail of the grenades you throw. Additionally, newly introduced in CS2, there will be a picture-in-picture camera preview of your grenade in the air.
The preview will begin once you throw the grenade, and will last a little after the grenade lands. It is positioned on the bottom-left corner of your screen. Previously, the grenade trajectory CSGO command was “sv_grenade_trajectory 1”.
sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_trailtime 7
This is a follow-up command which allows you to adjust the duration that the grenade trajectory will last. This command is optional, but we highly recommend using it.
The number at the back is how many seconds the trail will be displayed for. In this example, we have used the number 7, meaning the trajectory will last for 7 seconds.
Examples on How to Use the sv_grenade_trajectory Commands
Let’s say, for example, you want to turn the main sv_grenade_trajectory on. Then, you would type “sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview 1” into your console to turn the command on.
For example, you no longer want the command enabled. To turn it off, you would type “sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview 0” in the console. The value “0” disables the command.
Now, let’s imagine that you want the grenade trail to last for 10 seconds. Then, you would input the command “sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_trailtime 10” because the value of 10 means the trajectory will last for 10 seconds.
