mp_force_pick_time Command Help & Examples

One of the very best ways to start feeling more at ease during your training sessions is to set up your own server, which will allow you to tailor everything to your personal preferences. By using console commands, you will be able to do all sorts—eliminate restrictions on grenades and weapon ammunition—as well as extend the round durations in CS:GO.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is all about quick, action-packed rounds. However, despite the brevity of each round in CS:GO, matches often go way beyond 30 minutes, comprising numerous short rounds. While this setup is great in competitive gameplay, it may not be ideal for focused practice sessions on grenades or jumps. Fortunately, the developer console commands give you the flexibility to adjust the round time in CS:GO to better suit your needs.

It is, without a doubt, far more advantageous to have the freedom to roam the map endlessly and practice spray patterns rather than being confined to spawn areas every couple of minutes.

Command Generator

Customize the settings below to automatically generate a command. Once you’ve set everything up, you can copy and paste it into the console in CS:GO.

  • mp_force_pick_time 15

Examples

  • mp_force_pick_time 15: This is the default setting for this command, allowing players 15 seconds to pick a team.
  • mp_force_pick_time 40: With this command, players would have 40 seconds to pick a team before one is automatically chosen.

How to Set Infinite Round CS GO Time Command

The default settings for Counter-Strike typically only allocate a few minutes for each round. While this is enough for various game modes on official Valve servers, it may not always suit private server needs. For instance, during practice sessions with teammates or friendly matches, having an unlimited round time allows for better concentration on gameplay without any unnecessary interruptions.

So, are you ready to take your CS:GO training regimen to the next level? Well, amongst all of the other commands available in the game, this can be one of the most effective.

Opening the Console

Press the (~) key on your keyboard to open the in-game console. This serves as your gateway to accessing advanced settings. You’ll then need to click on the Game tab and set the ‘Enable Developer Console’ command to Yes.

Setting the Command

In the console, input the console command

  • ‘mp_roundtime_defuse 60’

and then press Enter. This command will extend the round time for Bomb Defusal mode to 60 minutes, so you can enjoy a more intensive training session without worrying about time constraints.

If you want a more comprehensive training experience, then execute the following commands:

  • ‘mp_roundtime 60’ and then
  • ‘mp_roundtime_hostage 60’

in the developer console. These commands will also increase the round time you have for Wingman and Hostage Rescue modes up to 60 minutes, so you can enjoy more versatile training across all different game modes

If you want to enhance your practice sessions further, then complete the commands:

  • ‘mp_buytime 60000’ and then
  • ‘mp_buy_anywhere 1’.

These are advanced maneuvers that allow you to buy weapons and utility items anywhere on the map, at any time, again without being restricted by time limits. This will give you the flexibility to strategize and adapt throughout the entire 60-minute round.

To ensure the changes take effect, you’ll need to restart the game.

Making an Infinite Time Command in CS2

To enable infinite rounds in CS2, then you need to follow these steps:

  1. Open the in-game console by clicking on the ~ key.
  2. Enter the command:
  3. mp_roundtime_defuse 60
  4. This will set the round time to a maximum of 60 minutes.
  5. For added control, you can also enter the following commands:
  6. mp_buytime 60000
  7. This sets the buy time to 60 seconds, giving you plenty of time to purchase weapons and equipment.
  8. mp_buyanywhere 1
  9. This console command permits you to buy weapons and equipment from anywhere on the map.
  10. To override round win conditions, such as bomb detonation or defusal, you can enter the command:
  11. mp_ignore_round_win_conditions 1
  12. This will allow the round to go on indefinitely until you manually end it.

Once all your preferred commands have been entered, you can get started and enjoy uninterrupted gameplay for as long as you like!

Summary of Commands

  • mp_roundtime_defuse 60
  • mp_buytime 60000
  • mp_buyanywhere 1
  • mp_ignore_round_win_conditions 1

Infinite (Unlimited) Round Time Commands

In the game, a standard server operates in two modes: warm-up and the main game, during which rounds are counted. First, we’ll look at the scenario where rounds in CS:GO don’t come to an end – which requires several commands:

  • mp_roundtime_defuse 60: This round time command extends the round duration on bomb defusal servers.
  • mp_roundtime_hostage 60: Increases round duration on hostage maps.
  • mp_roundtime 60: Sets a universal round time of 60 minutes.
  • mp_restartgame 1: Executes a complete map restart to apply the changes.

It is much more convenient to combine all these commands into a single key. For instance, “bind L mp_roundtime 60; mp_restartgame1”.

You may find that even the limitation of 60 minutes may be too restrictive. Unfortunately, CS:GO developers haven’t yet made it possible to set round times of more than 60 minutes. Nonetheless, this should be long enough for practising positions and grenades.

To take your training to the next level, here are a few other commands to consider.

  • mp_buy_anywhere 1: Enables purchases not only at spawn but anywhere on the map.
  • mp_buytime 60000: Extends the purchase duration to 60000 seconds, so you won’t need to make rush purchases within the initial 30 seconds of each round.

These commands can make your training experience even better – giving you more flexibility and convenience.

Another Way to Increase Round Time in CS:GO

Instead of opting for an endless round in CS:GO, you could implement an unlimited warm-up time, giving you time to practise important grenade skills. By using specific console commands, you can establish a customized warm-up server. The great news is that you won’t need to input these commands again and again – as you can use a special bind. With just one single keystroke, all commands will be done at once.

Setting the bind can be done as follows.

  1. sv_cheats 1: Enables “cheats” in CS:GO.
  2. mp_autoteambalance 0: Disables team balancing in the game, allowing you to face a dozen bots without them being redistributed.
  3. mp_limitteams 0: Removes the limit on the number of players/bots per team.
  4. mp_freezetime 0: Eliminates the purchase time, enabling immediate movement at the round’s start.
  5. bot_dont_shoot 1: Prevents bots from shooting at you during practice sessions. Set it to 0 if you want them to retaliate.
  6. bot_kick: Removes all bots from the map.
  7. mp_warmuptime 234124235: Sets the warm-up duration; a large value nearly renders the CS:GO round endless.
  8. sv_infinite_ammo 1: Grants infinite ammo.
  9. mp_roundtime 60: Sets the round duration. It can be ignored if mp_warmuptime is set to a high value.
  10. mp_startmoney 16000: Establishes the starting amount of money for players at the round’s start. 16000 is the maximum value.
  11. The following command – ‘mp_restartround 1’ restarts the round for enjoyment.

To activate this endless round in CS:GO during warm-up, you can bind all of the above commands together:

  • bind “m” “sv_cheats 1; mp_freezetime 0; bot_kick; mp_warmuptime 234124235; mp_roundtime 60; mp_startmoney 16000; mp_buy_anywhere 1; mp_buytime 60000; sv_infinite_ammo 1; mp_restartround 1”

It doesn’t have to be “m” – you can choose any key you like.

Once the bind has been initiated after entering the map, you’ll have an infinite round time in CS:GO. Additionally, purchasing will also be unrestricted, ammo is unlimited, and you have lots of starting money for shopping. You might also want to incorporate additional commands into the bind – as long as you stick to the syntax: command-semicolon-space-command. Also, make sure that you enclose multiple commands within quotation marks.

After registering the bind in the console, you can then protect your game settings by using the command “host_writecfg config name,” so all of your configurations will remain intact.

With all this being done, you’re now ready to create an infinite round time in CS:GO for even smoother training sessions. However, it’s worth noting that you can only use Infinite Time Commands during private matches.

So, with that being said -train hard and be a winner!
