Anubis Callouts

Ever since its addition to the official tournament map pool, the sunny skies of the Anubis map has garnered increasing popularity among CS:GO players. Despite being one of the more challenging maps to learn due to its numerous callouts, mastering them is not as tough as it may seem at first.

CT Spawn

CT Spawn is where the Counter-Terrorist team begins each round, serving as their initial starting point on the map.

Sniper

Sniper is the elevated standing area that provides a clear view of T players crossing to B Site from Gate.

Cave

The Cave callout describes the cavernous walkway leading towards the B side of the map from CT Spawn.

Palace

The Palace is a large indoor area containing an Egyptian statue that connects B Site to Middle and T Spawn. This is commonly used by CTs as a safe rotation route.

Street

Street is the long route beneath Sniper that leads from CT Spawn to B Site, offering access into Cave along the way.

Ninja

Ninja is the small hidden corner next to the Back Site. Always check Ninja before you plant at B, as this is a great hiding place for the sneakiest CTs!

Corner

Corner is the triangular area to the close left as you enter the B Bombsite from the Long/Gate area.

B Long

B Long includes all of the ground space between the B Bombsite and Ruins, which is the primary entrance to the bombsite.

Stairs

The Stairs callout refers to the descending stairs leading to the Water/Canal area from Alley. This is the quickest route to Canal from T spawn.

Top Mid

Top Mid is the section of Middle on the T side, accessible as players move toward Bridge.

Double Doors

The Double Doors consist of the two doors in the middle of the map, as well as the small area leading up the short stairs to Bridge.

Bridge

The Bridge is the long pathway in the middle of the map leading to Double Doors. This section is elevated above Water/Canal.

Arches

Arches is the section within the canal/water region that has two rounded archways leading towards the A side of the map.

Headshot

The headshot is the angle behind a couple of boxes used to hold CTs pushing from the Bombsite to the Water area through the Main.

Main

The Main is the area between the A Bombsite and Water. It is used as the most common entrance to the A Site for the Ts.

Back A Site

Back Site refers to the region towards the CT side of the A Bombsite, adjacent to a gated door.

Tunnel

Tunnel is the narrow indoor region leading to A Heaven from CT Spawn.

Beach

The "Beach" refers to the secluded area positioned behind CT spawn, featuring a sandy beach with a boat resting on it.

A Connector

A Connector is the narrow walkway from Middle to A Site, usually utilized by CTs.

B Connector

B Connector is the indoor passage near Pillar, linking Middle to the B Bombsite.

A Site

A Site is the area surrounding a pillar resembling a truncated tree trunk located at the center of the A Bombsite.

Heaven

Heaven is the elevated platform in A Site, which offers a vantage point for CTs to watch Terrorists entering into A Site from the Main.

Fountain

"Fountain" refers to the raised area distinguished by a fountain situated beside a Pillar, directly in front of A Main.

Boat

"Boat" refers to the expansive water-filled area that is adjacent to the Canal, offering entry points to A through Main, Water, and T Upper.

Drop

The Drop is the area in the Boat that Ts can use to drop from T Side Upper to the Canal.

Upper

Upper is the area above Drop, used by the Ts as a safe way to gain control of Water.

Wood

The Wood callout describes the small corner near the Boat. It is distinguishable by its wooden-paneled flooring next to a closed door.

Water

The Water callout refers to the lower central region of the map that is characterized by a huge body of water - from which it derives its name.

Middle

Middle is the large central region on the CT side of Double Doors, a vital part of the map for CTs to control.

Alley

The alley is the area near T spawn that offers access to both the middle and the B side of the map.

T Spawn

Terrorist Spawn is the initial spawn point for the Terrorist team at the start of each round.

Ruins

Ruins is the area situated between B Long and T Spawn, providing convenient pathways to the top mid and the B bombsite.

Catwalk

Heaven is the elevated area within Ruins, which can be used as a vantage point to observe CTs that are attempting aggressive maneuvers along B long.

Ivy

Ivy is the small area outside the Gate opposite the Ruins, characterized by vegetation hanging from the wall above.

Gate

Gate refers to the large archway that grants entry to the B Bombsite from B Long.

Pillar

Pillar refers to one of the two pillars in the B Bombsite. The 'pillar' callout typically refers to the close right Pillar upon entering the B Bombsite from B Long. The other Pillar is often referred to as the Back Site area.

Default

Default is the most commonly used bomb planting spot on the B Bombsite, usually located on the side facing Gate, offering a hiding place from CTs on the Street.

B Site

B Site is the entire central region of the B Bombsite, surrounded by B Pillar, Gate, Ninja, and Back Site.

Back Site

Back Site is the region of the B Bombsite that is not visible to Gate, accompanied by two large pillars.

Plateau

The Plateau is the spacious area reached after walking through A Connector to A Site, which provides an entrance to A Heaven.

Despite its large size, Anubis offers a whole host of angles on both bomb sites and features a split mid-section with upper and lower areas, so there are plenty of strategic options for both terrorists and counter-terrorists. As such, Anubis is an incredibly versatile map in the pool… but mastering it will require you to have a thorough knowledge of all its callouts.

Since Anubis is a more recent addition to the map pool, certain callouts may not yet be fully standardized and vary among players. However, key positions remain consistent regardless of whom you’re playing with.
