duck Commands Help & Examples

What are the duck Commands?

It’s important to mention these commands are compatible with CS:GO and CS2, and here they are:

They are cvar commands, hence you can use them without arguments, as they have been programmed to work that way.

It’s also important to mention that you need to input “sv_cheats 1” before being able to use the duck commands, because they are considered as cheat commands. Therefore, you also need admin rights to execute these commands, be it on your own server or Practice match.

You can attempt to use it on public matches or on MM servers. You won’t get banned, but the commands won’t work.

Now that you know what the duck commands are and their respective functions, let’s see how you can use them via the developer console.

How to Use the duck Commands

Before you can use the duck commands, make sure you have already enabled the developer console. And you also need to input “sv_cheats 1”, so the commands can execute without problems.

Once you have done it, here’s how you can input these commands via console to make your character crouch or stand up:

  1. Press “~” to launch the console
  2. Input your preferred duck command
  3. Click “Enter”
  4. Your character will either crouch or stand up

Simply put, if you want to crouch, just use “+duck”, and if you want to stand up, use “-duck”. No rocket science here.

Remember, these are cvar commands, hence it’s not possible to use arguments for them. Simply input them as +duck or -duck and they will work instantly, be it you want to crouch permanently or stand up and move around as usual, according to the normal configuration of the game.

Examples

To sum it up, here you have two examples on how to use the duck commands in CS:GO.

Make Your Character Crouch

If you want to make your character crouch constantly, as if you were pressing on the CTRL key, input “+duck” via console, click Enter and you will crouch permanently until you decide to undo it.

Make Your Character Stand Up

If you used “+duck” via console, and you want to make your character stand up and restore it back to default, you need to input “-duck” via console and click “Enter”. It will work instantly, allowing you to walk and move around as usual.
