What is de_tuscan?

Tuscan is a Counter-Strike map created by the community. To be more precise, the two guys behind the map are “catfood” and “brute”. The map itself is based on a rural town in Italy called Manarola. This map was added to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on August 16th, 2022 alongside the anniversary update.

As for the additional information about this map, de_tuscan is a typical Bomb Defusal map where the defenders need to either eliminate the attackers, defuse the bomb, or let the timer expire to win the round. On the other hand, attackers need to plant the bomb and successfully defend the post plant or eliminate all defenders to win the round.

Is de_tuscan Available in Counter-Strike 2?

Brief History of Tuscan CSGO Map

Did you know that Tuscan was widely accepted as one of the best maps in Counter-Strike 1.6? It also found its way to popular esports tournaments back in the day and it was one of the most played maps on LAN parties.

However, with the introduction of Counter-Strike: Source, Tuscan dropped in popularity, but it was still available for official play. Sadly, upon the release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive back in 2012, Tuscan was removed from the official map pool and the popularity of this map really took a big hit.

With the 10th anniversary update, Valve decided to bring back the fond memories by adding the map to the community map pool. Take note that the map went through a massive overhaul where both the visuals and design were improved. Despite the map looking much better in terms of graphics, the changed design did not sit well with the community and this map became one of the least-played CSGO maps.
