thirdperson
Counter-Strike is known to be one of the best first-person shooter games, but sometimes, it’s fun for players to try new things within the game. Though the genre of CSGO already falls under the first-person category, a lot of people might not know that it is entirely possible to play the game in third-person mode as well.
This is where the thirdperson console command exists. It is a command that will allow you to view the game in third-person mode, such as in games like Fortnite and PUBG. In this article, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know about the thirdperson command.
What Is The thirdperson Command?
As the name of the command already hints, the thirdperson command is used to change your camera view from the regular first-person mode to a new third-person mode.
It is important to note that the CSGO third-person command is a cheat command, meaning it cannot be used in official Valve matchmaking servers. It can only be enabled if you are on a server where cheats are enabled, or if you have admin permissions to enable it.
The thirdperson command is a fun command players can use to try out new things and have a little bit of fun. It is not a customization command that will enhance your settings or performance.
How To Use The thirdperson Command
As mentioned earlier, you can only use the CSGO third-person on a private server. Once you are on a private server, there are three steps you must follow to activate the command:
- Open your developer console and enable cheats by typing in the “sv_cheats 1” command.
- Next, enable thirdperson mode with the “sv_allow_thirdperson 1” command. This will allow every player on the server to activate the command, including yourself.
- Finally, we can use the primary command, which is “thirdperson”, to change your camera view into third-person mode.
Examples Of Using The thirdperson Command
Playing in third-person mode can be a fun activity to try out with your friends on a private server. You can invite a bunch of your boys to try playing a regular game of Counter-Strike against each other using a different point of view.
For example, you and your friends gather on a private server. Here is how all of you will play in third-person mode:
- The host of the server will load into the game.
- The host will open their in-game console and enable cheats by typing the “sv_cheats 1” command.
- Next, the host will enable third-person mode by typing the command “sv_allow_thirdperson 1”.
- Now that the third-person mode is enabled on the server, every player must manually type “thirdperson” into their respective consoles.
Once all players have entered the CSGO third-person command, everyone will be playing in third-person mode.
