The +right command is directly related to spinning in CSGO. In this article, we’ll discuss what the command does, how to use it properly, and how to bind it to a key.

What Is The +right Command?

To enable the console command, you must type “+right” in the developer console and press Enter. Once the command is activated, your player starts spinning to the right immediately.

The “+right” command can cause nausea, as the player model won’t stop facing in that direction. If the player using the command is the last player standing, teammates will be forced to spectate that player, which can also make them dizzy.

There is only one way for players to disable the “+right” command once it is activated. To turn off the command, type “-right” in the console. The “-right” command is the opposite of the “+right” command and is only used to disable the latter.

Why Would You Spin In CSGO?

When we say “spin,” we do not mean spin-botting. Using a spinbot is considered an illegal hack that can only be used using third-party software. Spinbotting is an offense that can result in your account receiving a VAC ban.

Meanwhile, the CSGO spin command is entirely legal, meaning you won’t be banned. Spinning doesn’t really provide players with a competitive advantage, but there are two main reasons people use the spin command.

Avoid Getting Kicked For Inactivity

When a player has not moved their mouse or walked away from their spawnpoint, CSGO will automatically deem them inactive. If a player is considered inactive, the game will kick them from the game.

That being said, players mainly use the spin command to bypass the inactivity feature when they go AFK.

However, the “+right” command alone isn’t enough to help players automatically move around to remain “active” in the game. The “+right” command only moves your camera to the right but does not issue keyboard or mouse actions.

As a result, a player must use an extra command on top of the “+right” command. Either the “+forward” or “+back” command. As the names of the commands suggest, any of the two will make the player start walking forward or backward.

When the “+right” command is combined with either command, a player will automatically spin to the right and begin walking. Now, the player will start running in a circle. Since the player is walking, CSGO will not identify the player as inactive, meaning they won’t get kicked by the server even if they are AFK.

That is why players looking to go idle for a few minutes will activate the two commands so they won’t get removed from the game.

Make Your Player Model Harder To Hit When Planting

The secondary reason players use the “+right” command is somewhat unpopular; only a few players utilize it.

When planting the bomb, players can still move their mouse around and face different directions. By changing the direction they face, players can make their player model harder to target since their head and body keep spinning around in place.

That is why a few players use the “+right” command when planting the bomb. Since they won’t be able to shoot when planting, they can only make themselves more difficult to shoot.

With the “+right” command, the player continuously spins to the right while planting, which may cause enemy players to miss their shots. Though most players wouldn’t whiff on a planting target, there is a slight chance for an enemy player to whiff.

Back then, players could also spin while defusing, but it is no longer possible.

How Do You Spin In CSGO?

To spin around in CSGO, you only need the “+right” command. But if you want to spin around in a circle to avoid getting kicked for inactivity, you must use an additional command.

Here is a step-by-step guide to spinning in circles:

Step 1: Enable The Developer Console

You must ensure your CSGO console is enabled to use the console commands. Here’s how you can turn it on:

  1. Open your CSGO Settings.
  2. In your Settings tab, go to the Game Settings section.
  3. Look for the “Enable Developer Console” setting and turn it on.

Once your console is activated, you can open it by pressing the tilde key (“~”).

Step 2: Use The +right Command

Now that the console is enabled, you can start typing in console commands, including the “+right” command.

To enable the “+right” command, open the console and type “+right”. Then, hit your Enter key and close the console.

Once completed, your screen should begin spinning to the right.

Step 3: Use The +forward or +back Command

If you want to spin around in circles, you will need your character to start moving toward a direction, whether it’s forward or backward.

After enabling the “+right” command, open the console again and type in either “+forward” or “+back”. Only use one of the two commands!

The direction of where you’re walking does not matter. Both commands will work fine. Once all the steps are completed, your player should walk in an infinite circle.

How To Stop CSGO Spin Command

Once you start spinning, you can only stop it by manually disabling the commands. You can stop spinning by using the following commands:

  • -right
  • -forward
  • -back

If you’ve noticed, the commands to stop spinning use a minus sign instead of a plus.

So, if you used “+right” and “+forward,” then you will need to use the “-right” and “-forward” commands. If you used “+back” instead, you must type in “-back” to stop the command.

How To Bind The CSGO Spin Command?

If you are too lazy to open your console and type in the spin commands all the time, binding the commands to a key can be a good choice. Binding the commands will follow the same procedure for any other bind function.

Bind CSGO Spin Command To Go AFK

If you tend to go AFK in games often, setting up keybinds to begin and stop spinning would be very beneficial so you don’t have to manually input the commands all the time.

To start spinning in circles with a keybind, type in the following command in the console:

bind <key> “+right; +forward”

Replace <key> with your desired keyboard button. Make sure the key is far away from the WASD section so you don’t accidentally start spinning in the middle of a gunfight.

To stop spinning in circles with a keybind, type in the following command in the console:

bind <key> “-right; -forward”

Again, replace <key> with the button you want to bind the command to. Unlike the bind to start spinning, accidentally pressing this keybind won’t make you start spinning, as its sole purpose is to stop you from spinning.

Bind CSGO Spin Command When Planting

As covered earlier, the second reason why you’d want to use the “+right” command is to spin while you are getting the bomb down.

It’s impossible to make your player automatically spin while planting, so you must manually start spinning yourself.

To start spinning in place with a keybind, type in the following command in the console:

bind <key> “-right”

This keybind will make your player begin spinning to the right, but will not force you to walk forward or backward.

To stop spinning in place with a keybind, type in the following command in the console:

bind <key> “-right”

This keybind will stop your player from spinning around. You don’t have to worry about misclicking the bind, as it won’t do anything if you’re not spinning yet.

So, while you are getting the bomb down, start pressing the key that will begin the spin command. Once the bomb has been planted, press the opposing key to stop spinning.

Though spinning while planting can give you an advantage, remember to commit to the plant. If you enable the command and fake the plant, you will continue spinning when you get off the bomb, so make sure you immediately press the keybind to stop.

Can You Get Banned For Spinning In CSGO?

Using the CSGO spin commands to bypass the inactivity system or spin while planting is entirely legal. These actions are done through console commands made by Valve, so you are not using external resources. So, you cannot get banned for spinning using the console.

However, if you are primarily using the spin commands to go AFK, players in your team can report you for griefing. If you receive excessive reports, your gameplay might be sent to the Overwatch system, where other players can review your actions of being AFK for ruining the game for others.

If you are deemed guilty, Valve could punish you griefing, which can result in a matchmaking ban. Be careful not to go idle with the CSGO spin command too often to avoid getting reported!
