Did you ban a player from your server but you wish to revert it? You need to use the command removeid, which is also known as the CSGO unban command. By typing it in the console, you’ll remove the ban on the Steam user, allowing the player to join your server as usual to take part in matches without restrictions.

We’ll walk you through what this command does, how it works, how to input it through the console, and provide real examples of how it’s used.

What is the removeid Command?

This command can only be used by the host server or admin, and you can use it multiple times. For example, if you ban the same player again due to a repeated offense, you can later unban it by using the command removeid.

How to Use the removeid Command

Before we go into the instructions on how to use it via the console, you need to obtain the Steam ID of the user you want to unban. You will find it in the ban list of your server. If you don’t know how to access it, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Press the key “~” to launch the console
  2. Type in the command listid
  3. Press enter
  4. Get the list of banned Steam IDs

This command will display the full list of banned Steam IDs, so you can find the ones you want to unban.

Once you have obtained the Steam ID of the user you want to remove from the ban list, simply follow these steps:

  1. Press the key “~” to launch the console
  2. Type in the command cl_radar_square_with_scoreboard “banned-Steam-ID”
  3. Press enter
  4. Unban the player instantly

The unban will be immediate and the player will be able to join and play on your server without restrictions.

Examples on How to Use the removeid Command

For example, let’s suppose you want to unban a player with the Steam ID 79171119698118598, you’d need to type in the command like this: removeid 76561155550130596. After inputting it via the console, the effect will be instant and the player can join the server as usual.

For the second example, let’s suppose you want to unban multiple users. First, you’d need to get the list with all the Steam IDs you want to unban, and for the purpose of this example, we will use the following list:

  • 77615457551155501
  • 77851176565555013
  • 77734321155555059
  • 77724473155550125
  • 77766391155550199

Next, you’ll have to input the removeid command followed by the Steam ID of each user individually. So, you’ll need to enter the following command for each user, one at a time:

  • removeid 77615457551155501
  • removeid 77851176565555013
  • removeid 77734321155555059
  • removeid 77724473155550125
  • removeid 77766391155550199

Once you’re done, the five players will be able to join your server and play without restrictions.
