If you want to share everything in your console with an external server, you need to use the logaddress_add command. However, it’s also known for fixing FPS issues, and this is why we decided to create this page, so you can learn all about this command such as how it works and how you can use it via console.

How to Use logaddress_add Command

If you want to use this command, here’s how you can do it in 5 steps:

  • Press the “~” key to launch the console
  • Decide what IP and ports you will use for the command
  • Input logaddress_add [IP-Ports]
  • Press Enter
  • Now everything in your console will be sent to the specified external server

All you need to do now is to replace “[IP-Ports]” for the real IP and ports of the external server. For example, if they are “1771:4010”, simply use them as the argument, resulting in the following: logaddress_add 1771:4010. Press Enter and it will execute automatically.

Therefore, using “logaddress_add 1” is incorrect according to the purpose of the command, as “1” is not a real external server. However, as it makes the game fail to make the connection, and hence introduces too much lag, forcing a “full update”, which is known for fixing FPS issues.

Examples on How to Use logaddress_add Command

Here you have some examples on how you can use the logaddress_add command in CS:GO.

Setting a Specified External Server

If the external server IP and Ports are 1881:5070, and you want to send your console info to it, you only need to input the command like this via console: logaddress_add 1881:5070. It will make the connection automatically.

Fixing FPS Issues

If you’re experiencing FPS issues and nothing seems to work, you can make the game fail to connect to an external server on purpose by inputting the command like this via console: logaddress_add 1. It will force a “full update” that might solve the FPS issues of your server.
