With the release of the new CS2 map Mills on July 25th, 2024, many players need clarification about all of the unclear and different callouts. We went out of our way to make this quick and easy-to-understand guide for the most important Mills callouts. We will cover all the sports, the importance of the locations and why they are called like that. This will be helpful for all kinds of players and it will make the map more competitive as well.

Restaurant

Restaurant is the main area in front of the T-spawn. Not a lot of fights will happen there, so the main point is to be aware of a potential flank that’s coming from the opposite side.

Butcher

This is the main road that leads to 420. There is a butcher shop that will help you navigate more easily. Butcher is really close to the Restaurant which is in front of the spawn point.

420

420 is the place that connects Butcher directly to Forklift and A-Main. Tons of fights can happen here if CT is already holding the A Main, but otherwise, it’s just an important call to know. You can see the weed shops, and that’s from where the name comes.

Forklift

After you pass through 420, you will reach Forklift. You will have two choices once you get there. Either going directly to A-Main or using the Warehouse for a flank. This choice is entirely up to you and how you play the game.

Warehouse

Warehouse is left of the Forklift and leads directly to the Truck near the A site. The name should be self-explanatory since it’s a Warehouse. It is mainly used for flanks as a Terrorist or to hold flanks as a Counter-Terrorist.

Truck

Truck is located close to the A site and connects both the Warehouse and A-Main to it. It is an important zone to control and keep an eye out since it gives you a direct path to A site.

Triple

Once you reach the A site there will be a triple box called Triple. It’s essential to take control of these boxes because they offer a lot of different angles you can hold.

Stairs

Stairs connect A site to Donut and Short. A lot of fights can occur here as well as flanks so be cautious from both the T and CT sides.

Bikes

Bikes is just left of the Restaurant and it is an open path to both Heaven and Hell. If CT decides to push Long, you will need to fight them at Bikes, Heaven or Hell to regain control over this side of the map.

Hell

Hell is located right under Heaven. It has a box in front of it that can be used as a cover if there is a fight on Long. You can directly see the long bridge from there. So, you can prevent any potential flanks coming from Long.

Heaven

Heaven, or as some people call it Nest or Attic, it’s an open window in the house right behind Hell. It has a clear vision of Long and it can be a really good spot for snipers in Counter Strike 2.

Long

Long is the main path that connects Arch and Hell. It is the main zone to take control of after a fight happens if you are going to push the B site. Long is one of the most important Mills callouts, since you can push the B site instantly after capturing Long in CS2.

Church

Right from Heaven and Hell, there is a path with a church building on the side. This path leads you to Mid. It’s not an important area that can be contested from CT, but it can be good to be aware of flanks.

Arch

Arch is connected to Long, B site and Kayaks. It’s a good angle to hold and also if you want to push the Arch, you can make a good flank there. It’s usually a good idea to use a smoke there while entering B site.

Kayaks

Kayaks is right from the CT spawn. Kayaks is an excellent opportunity to flank B site, CT spawn, or a Square that goes to Mid. The main use of Kayaks is to flank behind the B site and to prevent people coming from both CT spawn and Square.

Ramps

Ramps is on the other side of the Restaurant. Going left from Ramps will take you to Shoe. It’s not an essential zone so there won’t be a lot of fighting in this area in CS2.

Shoe

Shoe is a shop with a big shoe on it. If you go right from Shoe, you will go to 420. Shoe is also the main path to Tulips which leads to the Mid. It can also be used as a cover since there is a slight corner. Fights usually don’t happen here but be aware of potential flanks.

Tulips

Tulips connect Church, Mid, and Wine. That makes it a vital zone that needs to be cleared. If you have control over Tulips, you have a lot of options to navigate on the map.

Mid

Once you reach Mid, you will have a lot of options. You can go back and take the way to Wine which will open a flank for you. You can also go directly to Square and go to CT spawn for another flank, or go to Bakery.

There will be a lot of fights over Mid because it’s one of the most significant zones on the map. It gives you many different paths and approaches you can take. Knowing all of the Mills callouts connected to Mid will be truly beneficial for you.

Square

Square connects to Mid, Kayaks, CT spawn, and B site. It’s one of the best areas for CT that you want to control so you can fight for Mid and B site. You should also pay attention there because it’s a common place for flanks in any CS2 game.

Bakery

Bakery is the main way that comes from Square and Mid and leads to Short. From there, you can go to Donut and A site. It’s a crucial part of the map, especially if you are a CT since it’s the main route for flanks directly to CT spawn.

Wine

Wine is the same as Bakery but for T side. From Mid, you can go to Wine and then to Short. In these two areas, the Bakery and Wine fight will happen over control for Short. It’s also a common route for flanks that leads to Tulips and Church.

Short

Short is the middle way that goes to A site. Since it’s connected to both Bakery and Wine, there are usually constant fights for Short. Once you take it and can hold it, you can have quick access from Mid to A site. So, Short is one of the most valuable locations on this CS2 map.

Donut

Donut connects Short to Stairs. So, after you take control over Short, you can use Donut to push Stairs and then into A site. Alternatively, you can sneak through Donut and flank the enemy if no one is holding there.

Catbeer

Catbeer is in front and slightly left of CT Spawn. From both Donut and Stairs, you can go to Catbeer. It’s not a worthy zone to fight for, but some flanks can happen there since it’s connected directly to the CT spawn.

Conclusion

In every CS2 map, there are a lot of different callouts. Some of them are not as important, and some of them are game-changing. Knowing where you are going and which parts of the map connect will be helpful for all of the players.

Once you know the name of a specific zone and use it as a callout, you and your teammates will have a more tactical way of playing CS2. So, using the callouts is always seen as professional and proficient.
