Smooya CS2 Settings: Full Config, Crosshair & Peripherals

Owen “smooya” Butterfield is a professional Counter-Strike 2 player from the United Kingdom, currently playing for Into The Breach as the team’s primary AWPer. Despite not having too many international achievements, smooya is recognized as one of the most talented AWPers in his region. If you want to play like smooya, here are all of his CS2 settings and peripherals!

smooya CS2 Settings

First off, let’s take a look at smooya’s essential game settings

Mouse Settings

AWPing is not an easy job, but smooya makes it look easy. Check out the mouse settings smooya uses to be such an effective sniper player:

  • DPI: 400
  • Mouse Sensitivity: 1.80
  • Effective DPI (eDPI): 720
  • Zoom Sensitivity: 1.14
  • Hz: 1000
  • Windows Sensitivity: 6

Smooya is using a mouse DPI value of 400, and has decided to increase it with a mouse sensitivity value of 1.80, leading his effective DPI to be 720. Though this is close to the average eDPI of professional players, AWPers tend to play on higher values, but smooya can still hit flicks with such eDPI.

Crosshair Settings

Though smooya is primarily an AWPer, it is still essential for him to become a good rifler and pistol player, meaning he still needs a good crosshair. Here are his crosshair settings:

  • Style: Classic Static
  • Follow Recoil: No
  • Dot: No
  • Length: 1
  • Thickness: 0
  • Gap: -4
  • Outline: No
  • Color: Yellow
  • Red: 255
  • Green: 255
  • Blue: 255
  • Alpha: Yes
  • Alpha Value: 255
  • T Style: No
  • Deployed Weapon Gap: No
  • Sniper Width: 0

Mr. Butterfield is using a very tiny crosshair with a length value of 1, and a thickness of 0. Additionally, he has chosen yellow as his crosshair color. Small crosshairs aren’t too effective if you’re new, but professionals rely on it to hit accurate headshots.

Viewmodel Settings

Next, we’re going to quickly take a look at the viewmodel settings smooya is using. A good viewmodel is important especially when you’re an AWPer since the weapon takes up so much of your screen.

  • Field of View (FOV): 68
  • Offset X: 2.5
  • Offset Y: 0
  • Offset Z: -1.5
  • Presetpos: 2

Smooya is using a very standard viewmodel with the maximum FOV value of 68. Additionally, he is using the most common viewmodel offset settings that are used by the majority of professional players. His viewmodel settings are definitely safe to try out.

You can try out smooya’s viewmodel immediately by copying the following viewmodel commands below:

Video Settings

Now that we’ve covered all of smooya’s essential game settings, let’s dive deeper into the video settings he uses.

Video

The first set of video settings will cover smooya’s resolution and aspect ratio, which are the two most important video settings in the game:

  • Resolution: 1024×768
  • Aspect Ratio: 4:3
  • Scaling Mode: Stretched
  • Brightness: 80%
  • Display Mode: Fullscreen

Like most pros, smooya is using the 4:3 aspect ratio and a stretched scaling mode. However, instead of the popular 1280×960 resolution that everyone uses, smooya decided to play on a resolution, choosing 1024×768. It is also worth noting that smooya has reduced his brightness down to 80% only.

Advanced Video

Though these aren’t too necessary to copy, feel free to take a look at the advanced video settings smooya is using:

  • Enable Player Contrast: Enabled
  • V-Sync: Disabled
  • NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: Disabled
  • NVIDIA G-Sync: Enabled
  • Maximum FPS In Game: 500
  • Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode: 8x MSAA
  • Global Shadow Quality: High
  • Dynamic Shadows: All
  • Model / Texture Detail: Low
  • Texture Filtering Mode: Bilinear
  • Shader Detail: Low
  • Particle Detail: Low
  • Ambient Occlusion: High
  • High Dynamic Range: Quality
  • FidelityFX Super Resolution: Disabled (Highest Quality)

It appears smooya has decided to lower down almost all of his video settings, prioritizing in-game performance over cool graphics.
