During private practice, advanced players often utilize a handful of practice commands to enhance their training sessions. Since CSGO, one of the most useful console commands for practice has been the CSGO buy anywhere command. Fortunately, the command did not get removed in the release of Counter-Strike: 2, and is still readily available for use.
What Is The Buy Anywhere Command?
In a normal game of Counter-Strike, players can only buy weapons and gear while they are standing within their team’s spawn point. Plus, they have limited time to buy as the buy time only lasts 20 seconds.
As the name suggests, the CSGO buy anywhere command can be used to bypass the rule and allow players to open the buy menu from any location in the map, which is incredibly convenient for training sessions.
There are four variations of the buy anywhere command:
mp_buy_anywhere 0
Disables access to buy anywhere from the map.
mp_buy_anywhere 1
Enables access to buy anywhere from the map for all players.
mp_buy_anywhere 2
Enables access to buy anywhere from the map for the Terrorist team only.
mp_buy_anywhere 3
Enables access to buy anywhere from the map for the Counter-Terrorist team only.
The buy anywhere command is best paired with the “mp_buytime 9999” command for maximum effectiveness! The buy time command will give players infinite time to purchase from the buy menu, which will help the idea of players buying anywhere and any time during practice sessions.
Keep in mind that the CSGO buy anywhere console command can only be used in a private server where you have admin permissions. It cannot be used in a Valve matchmaking server as it is considered a cheat command.
How To Use The Buy Anywhere Command?
Here is a step-by-step guide on enabling the CSGO buy anywhere command in your practice sessions:
- The first step is to open the developer console. You can do this by pressing the “~” key.
- Next, input the “mp_buy_anywhere 1” command or another variation of the command discussed above.
- Though optional, it is highly recommended to also input the “mp_buytime 9999” command as well.
- Once the commands have been applied, you must restart the game to apply the changes! Restarting the game can be done by using the “mp_restartgame 1” command.
