Counter-Strike players can base their inventory on various themes, tastes, and preferences. One of the best ways to design a loadout inventory is to pick a common color. If black is your favorite color and you’d like to build an inventory around this concept, here are the best black skins in CS2 compiled!
Best Black Rifle Skins
Rifles are the weapon category you’ll use most in your games. So, it’s important to have some nice skins on the majority of your rifles. Here are the best black-themed rifle skins in the game.
AK-47 | Redline
- Rarity: Classified
- Case: Operation Phoenix Weapon Case
- Maximum Price: $114.00
- Minimum Price: $13.72
- Flavor Text: “Never be afraid to push it to the limit”
The AK-47 | Redline is one of the most well-known AK-47 skins since it was released over a decade ago.
The Redline skin became popular thanks to its sleek design, having been painted using black carbon fiber as its base, and accented with red line patterns throughout the skin, going from the body all the way to the magazine. This is a classic color combination, and works exceptionally well with the skin.
Due to Operation Phoenix Weapon Cases being very pricey these days, the AK-47 | Redline will cost you over $100 in Minimal Wear condition, which is its best wear level possible. Factory New is not available for the AK-47 | Redline.
M4A1-S | Basilisk
- Rarity: Restricted
- Case: Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
- Maximum Price: $9.63
- Minimum Price: $4.83
- Flavor Text: “It’s rude to stare, but war isn’t the time for pleasantries”
There aren’t too many full-black themed M4A1-S skins, so the Basilisk is the closest thing we could find.
The M4A1-S | Basilisk features a dark design, mainly using black and gray colors. The primary focus of the skin is a detailed design of a basilisk, which is a mythical serpent, etched on the middle of the weapon. Though the design isn’t too chaotic, the Basilisk does a great job of giving off a powerful theme as well.
The Basilisk skin is a budget-friendly M4A1-S skin. Most skins for the primary CT rifle will cost you a hefty amount, but you can already get the Basilisk in Factory New for under the $10 mark.
M4A4 | Mainframe
- Rarity: Industrial Grade
- Case: Nuke Souvenir Package
- Maximum Price: $0.09
- Minimum Price: $0.03
- Flavor Text: “At the heart of it all”
A similar issue as the M4A1-S is prevalent for the M4A4, as there are barely any black-colored skins for this rifle. So, we’ll have to make do with the M4A4 | Mainframe.
The Mainframe skin is inspired by a black and white circuit board with tons of buttons on it, hence the name of the skin. The skin is primarily covered in black colors in combination with hues of gray. The design features a symmetrical and precise pattern, making it great for players who enjoy minimalist skins.
Though the Mainframe skin doesn’t look too bad, it is surprisingly an Industrial Grade skin, meaning the prices for them are extremely low. You can purchase a Factory New version for less than 10 cents!
AWP | Graphite
- Rarity: Classified
- Case: Operation Bravo Case
- Maximum Price: $125.00
- Minimum Price: $122.86
- Flavor Text: “Pencils down, hands up”
Though there were a few choices for black AWP skins, we’ve decided to go with the AWP | Graphite.
The AWP | Graphite skin features a very sleek and minimalistic aesthetic. The skin has been painted in a polygon pattern with geometric shapes that resemble a memento from the Counter-Strike map Agency. Overall, the skin looks very polished and gives off a modern vibe, making it a refined and less flashy skin.
The Operation Bravo Case is one of the most expensive weapon cases in the game, so it’s not too surprising that the AWP | Graphite is selling for around the $120 mark, considering it is a Classified skin.
SG 553 | Hypnotic
- Rarity: Restricted
- Case: None (The Havoc Collection)
- Maximum Price: $38.95
- Minimum Price: $36.33
- Flavor Text: “You’re not getting sleepy, you’re passing out from blood loss”
The best black-colored skin for the SG 553 is an easy choice. It’s the Hypnotic skin from the Havoc Collection.
As we can tell from the name of the skin, the SG 553 | Hypnotic skin has a curved line design that forms hypnotic-like patterns. These alternating lines are colored in black and white. The main idea of the skin is obviously to create a sense of illusion and movement, which forms optical art inspirations.
The SG 553 | Hypnotic is not obtainable from weapon cases or souvenir packages, so the only way to get it is through item drops. Since this is the case, the prices for this skin are pretty expensive at under the $40 mark.
AUG | Plague
- Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade
- Case: Operation Riptide Case
- Maximum Price: $1.19
- Minimum Price: $0.41
- Flavor Text: “Like a moth to a flame”
For the Counter-Terrorist scoped rifle, we’re going to give the AUG | Plague a shoutout on this list.
The Plague skin has been covered in intricate designs of etched metallic engravings that resemble medieval art. However, a bug-like creature is visibly seen on the center of the skin, which supports the idea that the illustrations were inspired by various plague elements such as floral and skeletal motifs.
The AUG | Plague is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from the Operation Riptide Collection, which is a relatively affordable case. So, you don’t have to worry too much about its prices, as this skin is very affordable.
Galil AR | Destroyer
- Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade
- Case: Recoil Case
- Maximum Price: $0.18
- Minimum Price: $0.03
- Flavor Text: “Destroy them all”
Another extremely affordable skin on the list is the Galil AR | Destroyer, which is a Mil-Spec skin.
The Destroyer skin has been painted with what seems to be diagonal layers in black colors over a subtle gold background. However, the coolest part about the skin is that the word “DESTROYER” has been painted on the skin, but you can only read it properly when viewing it from specific angles.
As mentioned above, the Galil AR | Destroyer is one of the most common skins in the Recoil Case, meaning we can purchase it at very low prices. A Destroyer skin in Factory New condition only costs less than 20 cents, so selling a case will already be enough to buy it.
FAMAS | ZX Spectron
- Rarity: Restricted
- Case: Operation Riptide Case
- Maximum Price: $4.26
- Minimum Price: $0.72
- Flavor Text: “Clive would be proud”
The FAMAS | ZX Spectron is the next skin on the list, which is a Restricted skin from the Operation Riptide Collection.
The ZX Spectron skin consists of a very retro design, that is based on old technology resembling classic computers. The base of the skin is entirely black, but the skin has been accented with neon-colors including red, orange, yellow, green, and blue colors. There are also elements such as pause and play buttons.
We believe the FAMAS | ZX Spectron is a very underrated skin. It is only selling for around $4, but it is hands-down one of the best FAMAS skins in the game that we’ve seen. We think this is the perfect skin for a black-themed loadout.
SSG 08 | Parallax
- Rarity: Restricted
- Case: Operation Broken Fang Case
- Maximum Price: $4.86
- Minimum Price: $2.13
- Flavor Text: “Shoot twice, kill once”
The final black rifle skin we’re going to cover is the SSG 08 | Parallax which comes from the Broken Fang Collection.
The Parallax skin offers an eye-popping look that has been inspired by futuristic and digital aesthetics, as seen from the geometric patterns all over the skin. This SSG 08 skin has an eye-popping look that uses a combination of cyan, white, and primarily black. The Parallax has sharp visuals and is perfect for fans who like standout skins.
Being a Restricted grade skin, the SSG 08 | Parallax isn’t the most expensive skin on the list, as it comes at a fair price of a little less than $5 in Factory New condition. It is definitely one of the better SSG 08 skins out there.
Best Black Pistol Skins
If you’re not equipped with a rifle, you’re probably in the pistol round or performing an eco round. Nonetheless, it’s always nice to have a handful of reliable pistol skins to go back to.
Glock-18 | Red Tire
- Rarity: Industrial Grade
- Case: Vertigo Souvenir Package
- Maximum Price: $3.37
- Minimum Price: $3.08
- Flavor Text: “Burn rubber”
The Glock-18 | Red Tire is in our opinion the best-looking Glock-18 skin that features a black color scheme.
The Glock-18 | Red Tire skin is intended to have a rugged design, which appears to look like a worn out surface of a road. The primary color of the skin is black, but it is accompanied with red lines that are reminiscent of racing tracks or tire treads. This Glock-18 skin is perfect for those who enjoy street-inspired designs.
The Red Tire skin comes from the Vertigo Collection, meaning you can only obtain it through drops or souvenir packages. Though skins like these tend to be expensive, the Glock-18 | Red Tire isn’t too pricey at the $3 mark.
USP-S | Ticket To Hell
- Rarity: Restricted
- Case: Dreams & Nightmares Case
- Maximum Price: $1.21
- Minimum Price: $0.22
- Flavor Text: “Designer death”
To match your black-themed Glock-18, you must also have a black USP-S skin. Though there isn’t one that is entirely based on dark colors, the Ticket To Hell is the closest thing you’ll get.
The USP-S | Ticket to Hell skin has been custom painted with technical designs that feature stylized graphics such as ticket details, barcodes, and other textual elements that suggest a person is on the way to somewhere chaotic, such as hell. These elements have been painted using white over a black base, giving off a very edgy and rebellious feel.
The Ticket To Hell skin resides in the Dreams & Nightmares Collection, which explains its theme and approach. Fortunately, it is a Restricted grade skin, meaning you won’t have to spend too much money to obtain it, as it sells for a little over a dollar in Factory New.
Desert Eagle | Conspiracy
- Rarity: Classified
- Case: Operation Breakout Weapon Case
- Maximum Price: $8.15
- Minimum Price: $5.09
- Flavor Text: –
Some of the dark-colored skins we’ve featured above are pretty chaotic and have a lot going on, so here is a sleek and minimalistic skin – the Desert Eagle | Conspiracy.
The Desert Eagle | Conspiracy features an all-black design. It has been painted with a clean, black base that has been accented with golden details that outline the weapon. There isn’t much to the Conspiracy’s design, as it is focused on an elegant and sophisticated approach, which appeals to fans who like luxury over more hectic designs.
The Conspiracy skin is one of the oldest weapon skins in the game, having come from the Operation Breakout Collection over ten years ago. Since the prices for these cases have spiked up over the years, you’ll have to spend $8 to get this skin in Factory New condition.
Five-SeveN | Anodized Gunmetal
- Rarity: Consumer Grade
- Case: None (The Alpha Collection)
- Maximum Price: $10.37
- Minimum Price: $8.06
- Flavor Text: “You don’t know Felix Riley like I do… the man is impossible to break – The Traitor and The Truthseeker Part 1”
There aren’t too many full-black Five-SeveN skins in the game, so your best bet is the Five-SeveN | Anodized Gunmetal.
As the name of the skin might suggest, the Five-SeveN | Anodized Gunmetal was made with a very polished metallic gunmetal appearance, which results in a very smooth and simple texture. Though the entire slide of the weapon is in silver, the rest of the weapon is still in black. Overall, it is another skin that appeals to players who appreciate sleek and clean looks.
Unfortunately, the Five-SeveN | Anodized Gunmetal doesn’t come from a weapon case, which means it is more difficult to obtain compared to most skins in the game. As a result, the Anodized Gunmetal comes at a pretty expensive price, sitting at the $10 mark in Factory New.
Tec-9 | Cut Out
- Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade
- Case: Operation Hydra Case
- Maximum Price: $6.42
- Minimum Price: $1.91
- Flavor Text: “Spring has sprung”
The final weapon skin we’ll cover is the Tec-9 | Cut Out skin from the Operation Hydra Collection.
The Cut Out skin is actually based on intricate patterns of butterflies and other floral details that have been painted in black colors, which gives off a very vintage-like appearance. Though the top part of the skin is mixed with black and white colors, the lower area is entirely black, which is exactly what we’re looking for.
Though the Tec-9 | Cut Out is a Mil-Spec skin, you’ll have to be prepared to pay quite a hefty sum for a skin in this rarity category, as a Factory New version of it costs around the $6 mark. This is because Operation Hydra Cases have become more difficult to obtain, which has increased the general prices of all skins in the collection.
Best Black Knife and Gloves
If you were ready to drop some more money on having a perfect black inventory, you’ll also need a knife and a pair of gloves. Here are two options we highly recommend!
Karambit | Black Laminate
- Rarity: Extraordinary
- Case: Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case
- Maximum Price: $1,098.47
- Minimum Price: $786.96
- Flavor Text: –
Though you can select a lot of knives to pair with your black-themed CS2 inventory, we decided to suggest the Karambit | Black Laminate.
The Karambit is one of the most sought after knives in the entire game, and the Black Laminate skin is the perfect choice for a black loadout. The Karambit | Black Laminate has been stonewashed and given a black laminate handle. The skin features a very sleek and elegant design, which makes it a great choice for a minimalistic skin.
A Karambit | Black Laminate ranges from the $800 mark to around $1,100, which falls under the mid-range when we’re talking about CS2 knives. However, you can always look for other Black Laminate knives if this price range does not suit your budget.
Sport Gloves | Nocts
- Rarity: Extraordinary
- Case: Operation Broken Fang Case, Recoil Case, and Snakebite Case
- Maximum Price: $2,290.59
- Minimum Price: $310.57
- Flavor Text: –
There is also a wide selection of black-colored gloves in the game, but we think the most fitting one would be the Sport Gloves | Nocts.
The Nocts gloves have been made with deep black texturing that gives off a minimalistic, yet premium feeling and a refined appearance. There are also small detail patterns that were sewn into the fabrics. We think the Sport Gloves | Nocts provides a very professional vibe.
Gloves are almost always expensive, so you’ll have to pay a premium to get your hands on the Nocts gloves. Generally, a Minimal Wear pair will cost you less than $800, but you’ll have to go all the way up to the $2,000 mark to get it in Factory New.
