sv_dz_player_spawn_health Command Help & Examples

On this page, we'll be looking at the CS2 and CSGO health command.

On this page, we’ll be looking at the CS2 and CSGO health command:

  • sv_dz_player_spawn_health

The console command is as follows:

  • sv_dz_player_spawn_health <Amount>

Using this command essentially determines the initial health that players spawn with in the Danger Zone. The default value is 120 – which is also the maximum health players can have.

The CSGO Health Command Syntax

The syntax is as follows:

sv_dz_player_spawn_health <Amount>: Where the <Amount> is the health value for player spawn.

Additional Information

The additional details you need to know about this are:

  • Are sv_cheats Required? No
  • Is it a Client or Server Command? Both
  • What is the Default Value? 120

sv_dz_player_spawn_health Examples

  • sv_dz_player_spawn_health 80

This command will reduce the players’ initial health to 80 in Danger Zone matches – which deviates from the standard 120.

Other CSGO Health Command Options

Aside from this command, there are various other console commands to consider when looking to manipulate your CS health…

God Mode Command

This command means you never have to worry about dying to bots again.

Basically, God mode in CS will give you unlimited health and immunity to damage. This is great for practice sessions – and if you want to prank friends. However, activating it will require a console command.

Enable and Access the Developer Console

If you haven’t already enabled the developer console, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your CS:GO or CS2 settings
  2. Select the Game tab
  3. Set “Enable Developer Console” to Yes.
  4. Open the console using the ` (grave) or ~ (tilde) keys.

Enable Cheats (sv_cheats 1)

You’ll need to make sure that cheats have been enabled to use this command. To do so, input the following command in the developer console:

  • sv_cheats 1

CS:GO Exclusive: God Command

This command is specific to CS:GO. We’ll look at the CS2 command afterwards, which is slightly different.

Once cheats have been enabled in CS:GO, simply enter the following command in the console:

  • god

This command will then give you unlimited health and damage immunity. If it doesn’t work, double-check that the cheats are enabled with the sv_cheats 1 command. You can disable god mode by entering the command in the console again (which will toggle it).

  • CS2: God Command (Buddha)

The god command seems to be left out of Counter-Strike 2, but fret not; there’s an alternative for god mode: Buddha mode. However, you need to be aware that CS2’s god command substitute affects everyone on the server, but you can disable it for bots.

In Buddha mode, you still sustain damage, but your health will bottom out at 1HP, so that you never actually die. To activate Buddha mode (and exclude bots), you’ll need to input the following command:

  • buddha true; buddha_ignore_bots true

If you want to exclude bots from Buddha mode (making them invincible, too), then you can use this command:

  • buddha_ignore_bots true
