Name:
Sway Value
Description:

Be it that you want to see the gun fly around every time you move the mouse, or you want it to remain still as a rock, here’s how much you can use this command.

How to Use the cl_wpn_sway_scale Command

Here is how you can use the command:

  1. Press the key “~” to launch the console
  2. Type in the command cl_won_sway_scale “your-preferred-value”
  3. Press enter
  4. Enjoy your customized CS:GO weapon sway

For example, if you want to drastically reduce swaying, then you’d need to type in the command like this: cl_won_sway_scale 0.5. And if you want strong swaying, then you’d need to type in the command like this: cl_won_sway_scale 2.0.

While this command is useful and easy to use, remember that it’s cheat-protected, and hence you can only use it on offline matches and private servers.

Therefore, if you have not activated cheat-protected CS:GO commands yet, then the sway command won’t work. Here’s how you can enable it to adjust your weapon sway:

  1. Press the key “~” to launch the console
  2. Type in the command sv_cheats 1
  3. Press enter
  4. Type in the weapon sway command with your preferred value
  5. Press enter

Now that cheat-protected commands have been enabled, you can customize your weapon sway without restrictions.

Examples on How to Use the Command

If you want to play around with the command, here you have some examples on how to use it:

  • For normal weapon swaying: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 1.0
  • For minimal weapon swaying: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 0.5
  • For still-as-a-rock swaying: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 0.1
  • For strong swaying: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 2.0
  • For crazy weapon swaying: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 50
  • Return the swaying to default: command cl_wpn_sway_scale 1.6

However, take into account that using extreme values for this command can glitch your ViewModel. For example, if you use 100,000 for this command, then the ViewModel will go crazy and potentially make the game crash.
