Cache is one of the oldest maps in Counter-Strike history, but has unfortunately been rotated out of the Active Duty Map pool, meaning we don’t see it played in Premier or professional matches.
However, there have been numerous legendary highlights that took place on this very map, and it is still well-known in the community. If you love playing Cache and want to improve your game on it, here are some grenades lineups that will take you to the next level.
Best T Side Nades On Cache

Cache is known to favor the Terrorist side a little bit more, but it never hurts to learn a few grenade lineups to help you have an easier time navigating through the offense. Here are some very useful lineups you should consider memorizing.
T Side Smoke Lineups
First, we are going to go through some smoke lineups that will help you enter bomb sites without too much trouble.
A Forklift Smoke From Outside Main
This first smoke lineup is used to cover the left area of the A site right next to the Forklift, which will provide you and your team with easier access to plant the bomb.
For this lineup, stand outside of A Main, and go to the back corner next to the entrance to the squeaky area. You should be standing next to a bunch of electrical boxes.
Next, look up, where you should see wooden scaffolding that forms multiple squares. Aim your crosshair on the third horizontal line from the back, around the middle of it.
Finally, throw your smoke normally with a left click. This smoke will go over the building and land in between Forklift and A site.
A Back Site Smoke From Outside Main
This next smoke is targeted at the Back Site area of the A bomb site. This smoke will allow your team to get the plant down safely and find good post-plant positions on the site.
For this lineup, we are also going to be standing in the Outside Main area. However, instead of using the previous corner, we are going to jump on top of the wall and line ourselves up with the little corner next to the brick wall.
Next, we are going to look up to see the wooden scaffolding again. This time, use the third horizontal line from the back, and then move your crosshair to the point that the horizontal and vertical lines meet.
Finally, throw your smoke normally with a left click. This smoke will go over the building, and cover off the Back Site area.
Connector Smoke From T Spawn
If you have just started the round and want to immediately contest for the Mid area, here is a quick Connector smoke you can throw right as you leave the T Spawn area.
When running out of T Spawn, line yourself with the third line of the zebra crossing from the right.
Then, look forward where you should see the dark and broken window panes. Aim your crosshair at the top and middle portion of it.
Next, keep running, until your crosshair reaches the midpoint of the window panes. Once your crosshair touches the midpoint, jump and throw your smoke.
This smoke will have a smooth pathing and land all the way on the Connector area, and if thrown directly after spawning, will land before the CT players get there.
B Main Smoke From Deep B Main
On Cache, it is popular for T players to smoke off the B Main entrance so that they can take control of Checkers. Here is how you can smoke B Main from the deeper portions of B Main.
Once you enter the B Main area from T Spawn, go straight to the left-side wall. Here, you should see a locked door. Line yourself up with the pillar on the right side of the door.
Next, look at the Sun Room area, where you should see window panes at the top. Focus on the third window pane from the right. Aim your crosshair slightly above it, and then prepare to run and throw.
Keep running until your crosshair reaches the middle of the window pane, and then release your smoke grenade.
CT Spawn Smoke From Sun Room
The last T-sided smoke we’re going to cover in this guide is thrown to CT Spawn from the Sun Room area, allowing your teammates to have an easier time in hitting the B site.
For this lineup, go to Sun Room, where you should see a big box placed next to the wall. Behind the box, jump on top of the little railing on the side, so you are in an elevated position. Then, make yourself comfortable in the corner behind the box.
Next, break the window panes so your smoke can go through the window. On top of these window panes, you will see a dark-red area right below the roof, with gray lines separating them.
Aim your crosshair on the gray line on the right, and aim around the middle of it vertically. Finally, throw your smoke normally with a left click.
T Side Flashbang Lineups
Flashbangs are essential on the T side, as you are the ones that are on the offense. Use some of these flashbang lineups in your game and see yourself get some easy pickoffs.
A Site Flashbang From Squeaky
This first flashbang is used to set yourself up. Though it doesn’t require too much precision, it might take some practice to execute properly.
For this flashbang lineup, stand directly in front of the Squeaky door, and make sure it is closed. Then, look back at the wall, where you should see pipes extending down.
Aim your crosshair at the lowest point of the pipe, where you will prepare to walk and throw your flashbang, and then open the door before it bounces.
So, this lineup will require you to quickly turn around and open the door, but if executed properly, can be extremely effective.
Mid Flashbang From Garage
Here is a flashbang you can use to set up your teammates that are looking to contest the Mid area.
For this flashbang, position yourself in the entrance to Garage from T Spawn. Next, hug the left side of the entrance and line yourself with the middle of it.
Next, face forward where you should see two sets of window panes behind the yellow container. We are going to focus on the pair on the right side, and specifically, the pane on the left of the two.
Aim your crosshair at the top and middle area of the left window pane, and then throw your flashbang normally.
This flashbang will pop right as it exits Garage, and will blind almost all positions in Mid assuming the CTs are looking in your direction.
T Side Molotov Lineups
Molotovs on the T side are crucial when looking to take control of areas on the map. Here are some lineups that might come in handy during your games.
Mid Window Molotov From Vents
This first molotov lineup will be thrown at the Mid Window area, which is a common angle for snipers on the enemy team to play from.
For this lineup, get into the corner in front of the box that serves as the entrance to Vents. You should be standing behind the box, not on top of it.
Next, look forward, where you will see the Z building. You will notice there is a blue-painted spot at the top of it.
Aim your crosshair at the top-right corner of the blue box, and then throw your molotov normally with a left click.
Headshot Molotov From Sun Room
The Headshot angle is a very common position for CT players to be at when holding the B site, so let’s check out this quick molotov to flush them out of the angle.
For this lineup, position yourself in the Sun Room. On the right side of the room, you will see a decoration that depicts the Sun. Line yourself up with the very middle of this decoration on the wall.
Next, look towards the B site, and make sure to break the breakable glass panes, as we’ll need to do this for our molotov to go through. On top of the glass, you will notice a metal plate that looks like a LEGO brick.
Aim your crosshair at the bottom-right corner of this LEGO plate, and move slightly to the right. Finally, throw your molotov normally with a left click throw.
B Site Corner Molotov From Sun Room
Another molotov we’re going to check out will be aimed at the B Site corner, where a cheeky box is present which can give CTs cover. Here is how to throw it.
In Sun Room, you should see a fence with green and white colors. Stand in the corner between the green pole on the right, and the low wall.
Next, look up, above the small building with white-colored wooden walls. On top of it, you will see a mossy wall. You should see a bolt right above the roof of the building.
Aim your crosshair directly at the lower bolt, and then throw your molotov normally with a left click.
B Post Plant Molotov From Sun Room
The last molotov we’re going to check out is a post-plant molotov that can be used from Sun Room to deny any potential defusers. This molotov works if the bomb is planted at the back of the site, which is common for an “open plant”.
In Sun Room, again, look for the decoration of the Sun on the wall. Line yourself up with the middle of the Sun decoration.
Make sure all the glass window panes are broken, and then look above where the glass is located. On the top-left, you should see a metal plate that looks like a LEGO brick.
Aim your crosshair in the middle of the LEGO plate, and then move your crosshair to the right until it touches the white line on the wall. Finally, all you have to do is to throw your molotov normally.
Best CT Side Nades On Cache

CT side gameplay on Cache is a little trickier than the opposing side, as there are numerous angles to cover to prevent T players from swarming in through the various angles around the map. So, here are some useful grenade lineups to consider using.
CT Side Smoke Lineups
Now, let’s start the CT side lineups with some useful smokes to deter T players from taking free reign into bomb sites.
A Main Smoke From Truck
This smoke is a must-know lineup on Cache. It is used to completely smoke off the A Main area, preventing T players from rushing into the site early.
For this lineup, stand behind Truck, and line yourself up with the wall right in front of it. Next, look forward where you should see the hammer and sickle logo on top of the building.
Aim your crosshair at the top tip of the sickle. Once your crosshair is lined up properly, throw your smoke normally with a left click.
This smoke will perfectly land on the A Main entrance. Not only is this lineup incredibly easy, but it is also very effective.
B Main Smoke From Heaven
In Cache, even the “Rush B” strategy is pretty common for the T side. Here is a quick B Main smoke you can throw as you are exiting Heaven.
As you are exiting out of Heaven and looking to drop down, you should notice a vertical metal pipe sticking out of the wall.
Aim your crosshair around the middle of the metal pipe, and then prepare to execute a running throw. You will continue running, and throw the smoke as you are about to drop down from Heaven.
This smoke will bounce off the wall and land right in front of B Main, potentially slowing down incoming Terrorist players.
B Main Smoke From B Site
Here is the easiest smoke lineup that might come in handy when playing as a CT on the B site. This smoke will cover B Main and can be thrown from the site itself.
For this smoke lineup, stand in the corner between the ramp escalating to the B site and the target practice board leaning on the right side of the B site.
Once you are in the corner, look at the left side of the entrance of B Main. Next, aim your crosshair at the top-left corner of the entrance.
Once your crosshair is all set, throw your smoke grenade normally with a left click throw. This smoke will bounce off the wall and cover the entire B Main area.
Checkers Smoke From Heaven
Here is a very useful smoke if you’re trying to retake the B site. This smoke will cover Checkers, and can be thrown from the Heaven position.
At the Heaven position, get into the corner in the back wall. For this entire lineup, maintain a crouching position.
Once you face forward, you should see a group of dirty, but bright window panes right under the ceiling. Aim your crosshair at the top-left corner of the far left window pane.
While maintaining yourself crouched, throw your smoke grenade normally with a left click throw. This smoke will bounce off the high wall and perfectly land on the Checkers area.
CT Side Flashbang Lineups
Flashbangs win you games, whether it’d be to set yourself up for some kills, or setting your teammates up for success. Here are some flashbang lineups you can throw on the CT side.
A Main Flashbang From A Site
This is a flashbang you can throw that will pop as it enters A Main, setting your teammate up for some easy frags. Since the flash will be thrown from far away, you can’t use it for yourself.
On the A site, notice the back wall with details, and stand in front of the pillar that is across the stack of barrels with a green tarp on top.
Next, notice there are broken window panes on top of the A Main entrance. Aim your crosshair in the apparent dark line between the window panes, and adjust it to the middle of it.
Finally, all you need to do is to throw your flashbang normally using a left click throw. This flashbang is impossible for T players to react, but you must have a teammate ready to peek off it.
B Main Flashbang From Haven
Using the previous B Main smoke lineup from Heaven we discussed earlier, we can also use it as a flashbang lineup to blind incoming T players who are entering from B Main.
To recall, this flashbang will be thrown in a running motion, as we can set ourselves up for success with this flashbang.
As you are exiting out of Heaven and looking to drop down, look at the metal pipe sticking out on the left wall above Checkers.
Aim your crosshair in the middle of the pipe vertically, and then keep running and throw the flashbang as you are dropping down from Heaven.
CT Side Incendiary Lineups
Incendiary grenades are also crucial to put enemy players in uncomfortable positions, so you should definitely know a lineup or two.
A Default Incendiary From Truck
This incendiary grenade is targeted at the A Default plant spot, which is perfect for denying or delaying the plant.
For this lineup, position yourself at Truck. Line yourself up behind the side mirror of the truck. Make sure to stand behind it.
Next, you will see the hook of the tall crane directly in front of you. Aim your crosshair in the middle of the hook, and then throw your incendiary grenade normally.
This incendiary grenade will bounce off the tank on the A site and land perfectly on top of the Default area. You can stall the plant from a safe position with this lineup.
Quad Incendiary From Truck
This next incendiary grenade is targeted at Quad, which is the area at the back of the bomb site. This lineup isn’t necessarily thrown from Truck, though.
Near Truck, you should see a manhole cover on the ground. Stand in the middle of the cover, lining yourself up with the middle line.
Next, look at the direction of Quad, where you should again see the big crane. Instead of aiming at the hook, aim your crosshair at the vertical line of the crane, and then line it up with the first corner you see at the bottom.
Finally, the last step is to throw your incendiary normally using a left click throw. This incendiary will perfectly land on the Quad position.
